Crafted with rare Colheita Port casks, we are delighted to welcome a new cask finished expression to The One fine blended whisky collection.
A series of singular expressions, The One Blended Whisky showcases through aroma, flavour, and colour, the dramatically different impact oak and cask seasoning can have on whisky’s flavour elevation.
Meaning “harvest”, Colheita (Col-yate-a) refers to the exclusive use of grapes from a single crop to create a vintage port. Using an identical blend of The Lakes Single Malt Whisky and select Scotch grain and malt whiskies from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay, this new expression has been finished in the finest Colheita Port casks to create a rich and warming variation of The One.
Colheita marks the second release of the series in 2022, following the arrival of The One Manzanilla Cask Finished in June.
Available from Thursday 28th July, The One Colheita Cask Finished is bottled at 46.6% ABV and non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour, with only the natural colours derived from our oak casks.
Tasting Notes: Peach cobbler, fresh apricot, and a whiff of autumnal smoke on the nose lead to a palate of ripe plums, vanilla custard and warming cinnamon with a rich and comforting finish.
