A recent collaboration with The Lakes Distillery has resulted in a unique and historical creation; a cocktail buried in a secret time capsule - The Milestone Old Fashioned. This iconic staple and leading cocktail, known as The Milestone Old Fashioned, features The Lakes One Fine Blended Whisky, Orange Oleo Saccharum, House Bitters, and oak smoke. Served on a silver platter in a glass cloche, billowing with smoke, this cocktail is not just a drink; it stands as a journey through time and taste.
When explaining the inspiration behind The Milestone Signature Old Fashioned, Angelo said:
Hidden within the newly refurbished walls of The Stables Bar now lies the essence of its most iconic cocktail. Concealed behind concrete and sealed with wax marked with the infamous M stamp, lies a copper cocktail shaker. This hidden gem includes a bottle of Angostura Bitters - key ingredient to The Milestone Old Fashioned - and inside holds the cocktail crafted by Angelo himself.
This time-capsuled Milestone Old Fashioned, serves as a lasting tribute for generations to come. The same bottle of The One Fine Blended used to prepare the Time Capsule cocktail signed by both Angelo and our Sales Manager Luca Rapetti, will forever be displayed at Stables bar never to be reopened.
