Simon Rogan’s Michelin starred restaurant, Rogan & Co, is partnering with The Lakes Distillery as part of the restaurant’s exclusive new summer-long venue at Cartmel Racecourse.
Throughout the 2019 race season and a total of nine summer race meetings, a trackside Rogan & Co will open at Cartmel Racecourse, perfectly positioned near the finishing post, with unrivalled views of the final furlong.
In the glass-fronted marquee with a terraced garden, Rogan & Co’s head chef Tom Barnes will be cooking a three-course menu to celebrate the Lake District’s best produce.
Featuring some of the classics from their neighbourhood restaurant, the dishes will include ingredients sourced directly from their 12-acre organic farm in the Cartmel Valley, complemented by drinks from The Lakes Distillery, one of the leading spirit makers in England.
Chris Pateman, National Sales Manager at The Lakes Distillery, said: “It’s a natural partnership with Simon, Tom, and the team because, like The Lakes Distillery, they are inspired by the Lake District and, when it comes to quality, are in pursuit of perfection.
“At each event, we will be complementing the delicious food with our award-winning spirits, including The Lakes Gin, The Lakes Explorer Gin and our hugely popular Rhubarb and Rosehip, Elderflower, Damson, and Sloe Gin liqueurs.”
