For the second year running, we’ve received this outstanding gold accolade which truly reflects the flawless standards achieved at the distillery.
We’re delighted to announce we have received a prestigious Visit England Gold Award 2018.
The distillery was the only distillery to win the Gold Award accolade and one of only two golds to be awarded in the North West. Other Gold Award winners included HM Tower of London, Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre and Highgrove Gardens.
Visit England is the largest official assessment body of its kind when it comes to visitor attractions. Now in its 30th year, Visit England Awards for Excellence is firmly established as representing the highest accolade in English Tourism.
Designed to celebrate excellence within the visitor attraction sector, VisitEngland’s Accolades showcase those businesses in our quality scheme that go the extra mile provide a high-quality day out, whether through a warm welcome, an engaging story, a delicious lunch or the overall visitor experience. Accolades are given for the following categories; Welcome, Best Told Story, Quality Food & Drink, Hidden Gem and Gold.
Holders of the Visit England Gold Award offer the ‘best of the best’, from the range of facilities and services they offer, to the ability of staff to delight their visitors. In summary, a high star rating means top quality in all areas and all the services expected of that classification of accommodation.
