We’ve made a new expert addition to our distilling team…
We’re delighted to announce the appointment of our new Master Blender, Dhavall Gandhi. Dhavall’s appointment will bring an exceptional mixture of expertise in finance, creative strategy and distilling science to The Lakes Distillery, thanks to his experience from both the US Management Consulting sector and the Scottish whisky industry.
Dhavall’s qualifications match his experience; he has a Master’s Degree in Brewing and Distilling from Heriot-Watt University and an IBD diploma in Distilling as well as being a Chartered Scientist in Whisky Distilling.
Dhavall said:
“I’m looking forward to helping to create something new from the ground up and to having the rare opportunity to influence the house style of The Lakes Malt.
“The Lakes Distillery is a well-executed project and a Cumbrian success story. The state-of-the-art distillery offers a blank canvas and a potential for creativity that is unrivalled within the industry. This is my opportunity to continue telling the story through our brands.”
