Anita Rose

A refreshing take of the Sea Breeze cocktail, this thirst-quenching creation enhances the award-winning tangy grapefruit notes of The Lakes Pink Grapefruit Gin with fresh fruit juices.

Ingredients

35ml The Lakes Pink Grapefruit Gin
25ml Fresh Pink Grapefruit Juice
10ml Fresh Lime Juice
100ml Fresh Cranberry Juice
3 Drops of Hopped Grapefruit Bitters
Garnish with a Lime

Method

Fill a cocktail shaker with the gin, fresh juices, and plenty of ice. Shake, before 'throwing' the ingredients into a smaller vessel to release the aromatics and enhance aeration. Transfer them back into the shaker four times, before pouring into a long-stemmed glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a lime and finish with the hopped grapefruit bitters.

Juno

Drawing inspiration from classic sparkling wine cocktails, this refreshing serve is designed to stimulate your appetite with subtle notes of herbs and spices.

Ingredients

50ml The Whiskymaker's Editions Iris
15ml Elderflower Cordial
10ml Yellow Chartreuse Liqueur
60ml Sparkling Medium Dry Cider
Garnish with a Fresh Raspberry

Method

Shake all of the ingredients except the cider vigorously into a cocktail shaker with ice. Once mixed and cooled, strain into a champagne flute, top with medium dry sparkling cider and serve with a fresh raspberry.

The Lakes Bramble

A delightful blend of sweet and sour flavours, The Lakes bramble is a definite crowd pleaser, offering a well-balanced and invigorating experience.

Ingredients

50ml The Lakes Gin
25ml Lemon Juice
12.5ml Sugar Syrup
Ice Cubes
Crushed Ice
10ml Crème de Mure
1 Lemon Slice and a Blackberry to serve

Method

Shake The Lakes Gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker with a good handful of ice cubes and then strain into a rocking glass full of crushed ice. Drizzle with a measure of Crème de Mure over the top so it 'bleeds' into the drink. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a blackberry.

Cielo

The gentle embrace of chamomile intertwines with the luscious essence of melon in this delicately crafted highball. Serving as the perfect canvas, Cielo masterfully accentuates the floral nuances of Galáxia.

Ingredients:

50ml The Whiskymaker's Editions Galáxia
15ml Melonade
10ml Verjus
100ml Chamomile Tea
Garnish with a Lemon Twist

Method:

Infuse 1 chamomile tea bag in 200ml of boiling water for 25 minutes (ideally in a teapot; if in a mug cover with clingfilm to allow brewing). Remove the tea bag and let the infusion cool down to room temperature. Then, add all the ingredients into a highball glass and continuously stir for 10-12 seconds. Top with ice and garnish with a lemon twist.

Elderflower Fizz

Refreshingly floral and vibrant, intricate flavour infusion creates a characterful sparkling gin cocktail with a lively fresh finish.

Ingredients:

50ml The Lakes Elderflower Gin Liqueur
15ml Lime Juice
Sparkling Wine
Mint Leaves to garnish

Method:

In a cocktail shaker, combine the first three ingredients over ice and fine strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with mint leaves.

The Lakes Highball

We've added a twist on the classic whisky highball to create a Long Old Fashioned. Using the core components of an Old Fashioned as the base of the drink, to elongate and balance the intense botanicals in a sweet vermouth with ginger ale.

Ingredients

50ml The One Fine Blended Whisky
20ml Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino
2 Dashes Angostura bitters

Top with London Essence Ginger Ale
Garnish with an Orange Slice

Method

Using a tall, chilled glass, fill to the brim with large cubes of clear ice. Add the whisky, bitters and vermouth, topping with ginger ale. Stir well with a long barspoon to integrate the flavours before garnishing with a twist of lemon peel.
