At The Lakes Distillery we believe in taking the lead and following our instinct. We have been distilling for only 9 years but this ethos has already resulted in us being voted number 1 of 8 distilleries to visit in the world before you die (World Whisky Day), hold Gold Certified status with Visit England since 2018, and most recently been awarded the World's Best Single Malt at the 2022 Whisky Magazine Awards.

When recruiting, we are focused on attracting people who share our beliefs and brand values and want to join us on our journey. You will need to be highly motivated at the prospect of joining an ambitious business, with an entrepreneurial approach; who value quality above all else and believe in being courageous, seeking out opportunities and are passionate about the role they play in what is a truly team effort.

Whiskymaking Team

The whiskymaking team is led by our whiskymaker, who is at the helm of the spirit's journey throughout the distillery. Our artistic approach to flavour creation, from single malts and blended whiskies, to our range of gins and vodkas, ensures a unique collection of exceptional spirits.

Head office

Our small head office in Cramlington, Northumberland employs staff in finance, marketing, HR, and IT, amongst other roles.
